What would stop folks from uber-sabotage using SearchWiki

Honestly, What would stop folks from uber-sabotage using SearchWiki ? Put a note on my popular blog and tell people to bury a search result… that happens enough and the targeted competitor is toast.. or at least on page 3.

This MIGHT be subjected to manipulation, years ago Google rid themselves of the Google Bomb practice, but this might just be Google Bomb Part 2.

For a quick history lesson:

The terms Google bomb and Googlewashing refer to practices intended to influence the ranking of particular pages, in results returned by the Google search engine.

A Google bomb (or “link bomb”) is Internet slang for a certain kind of attempt to raise the ranking of a given page in results from a Google search, often with humorous or political intentions.[1] Before 2007, Google’s search-rank algorithm could rank a page higher if enough other sites linked to that page using similar anchor text (linking text such as “miserable failure”);[2] but Google changed the ranking by January 2007 to list pages instead about the repeated linking of that text Full Story

Burying (or promoting) a result in a coordinated fashion will accomplish similar results to what Google spent great effort removing just a few years ago.

We applaud Google for trying to refine the results, we are concerned with how they are doing it.
