The Real Roadblock to Web 2.0

The Real roadblock to Web 2.0 is actually not the companies leading the Web 2.0 revolution, it’s the ISP’s that have the bandwidth allocated to Web 1.0.

For example have you ever asked why it takes 1/2 hour to upload a video to YouTube but only a few min to download it?
It’s because the bandwidth allocation is overly geared toward the download channel rather than the upload channel.  This was the reality years ago, but as bloggers tend to increase their use of Video, the roadblock to uploading their huge videos is literally the fact that it just takes too long.

The solution to the problem would be for the ISP’s to offer an upload plan, where the upchannel would be increased for people that opt for it.
